Subramanya Temple




Subramanyar Temple is situated at Mailam near Tindivanam, in Viluppuram District, Tamil Nadu. It is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Muruga. This hill temple was glorified by Arunagirinathar through his Tiruppugazh hymns. Dating back to the 12th century, the temple has a Rajagopuram and a prakaram. There are separate worship places for Vinayakar, Viswanathar and Visalakshi. In front of the main sanctum is the Maha Mandapam. The annual festival is celebrated in the Tamil month of Panguni (mid March - mid April).
