State Highway 29

State Highway 29 is a 97 km long stretch that links Kozhikode on National Highway 17 with Chitragiri near the KeralaTamil Nadu border.

State Highway 29 starts at Kozhikode and runs north-east through Kunnamangalam, Chevayur and Koduvalli, meets State Highway 34 at Thamarassery and beyond Thamarassery, runs past nearby Pudupadi to enter Wayanad District.

In Wayanad, Kunnathidavaka is the first settlement one would come across while traveling along the State Highway 29 from Kozhikode. The highway then touches Vythiri and Chundale, turns south-west and runs past Meppadi and Muppainad before ending at Chitragiri. Beyond Kerala, the road runs up to Gudalur in Nilgiris District (this part of the stretch is under the administration of Tamil Nadu government).
