St Xavier's College at
Kolkata aims at providing excellent education in a homely atmosphere. It was established on January 16, 1860 by a small group of Jesuit Fathers under the leadership of Fr. H Depelchin. It is affiliated to the
Calcutta University. The college offers graduation and post graduation courses in Science, Arts, Business Administration, Mass Communication, and Videography.
Hostel facilities with modern amenities are arranged for students. The campus also has a computer centre accredited by the DOEACC Society. It offers various computer courses for students. Sports activities including a number of in-house tournaments are conducted. Various clubs and societies are also organized for the students.
