St Thomas Orthodox Church

St Thomas Orthodox Church, an old Christian pilgrimage center, is located at Kadambanad on Adoor-Sasthamkotta road. Legends have it that, the church was built by a group of Christians migrated from Nilakkal due to natural calamities during 14th century. This church is considered as the mother of different churches in central Travancore. The Church is managed by the Malankara (Indian) Orthodox Church and has many resemblances with Nilakkal Church. The church also runs a high school, namely St Thomas High School.

Sasthamkotta Railway Station, on the Kollam-Kayamkulam line, is the nearest railway station.
