St Thomas Jacobite Syrian Church, functioning under the holy see of the Patriarch of Antioch, is a famous church located at Chengalam, about 8 km west of
Kottayam. Built in 1861, this church is the third of its kind in the western side of Kottayam. Holy Qurbana is offered on all Sundays between 8:30 to 9:30 hrs. Sunday School is also functioning very actively. Late Michael Mor Divanyosious consecrated the altars of this church.
