St Stephen's College is situated on a hilltop at
Pathanapuram in
Kollam District. It was established in 1964 by Mar Thoma Dionysius. Affiliated to
University of Kerala, the college offers degree and post graduate courses in science and economics.
The college has a Population Education Club, Literary and Debating societies, science associations and a Women's cell. The college library houses more than 25,000 volumes. Separate hostel facilities are for both boys and girls.
