St Mary's Church




South Asia’s oldest Anglican English church, the St Mary's Church is located near the Fort Museum, Chennai. Built in 1680, it is one of the oldest British buildings in India. The walls of the church are 5 ft thick and is considered to be bomb-proof. The church has a copy of Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper, a 1660 bible, a pure silver plaque and some silver plates. The church is open from 9:00 to 17:00 hrs daily.
