Situated near Kolkata High Court,
West Bengal, St John's Church was built in Greek sculpture in 1787. This graceful church is entirely made of stone and the tower is 174 ft high. The overgrown graveyard has a number of monuments including the octagonal mausoleum of Job Charnock.
Inside the church, there are famous paintings such as 'The Last Supper' by John Zoffany and marvelous stained glass windows and memorial tablets of prominent citizens through the ages. Sunday service is held regularly at the church.
