St Lourde's Church is located 10 km from
Pondicherry Railway Station at Villianur. It is an important pilgrim center having close relationship to Our Lady of Lourdes Church in France. The church was raised to the status of a shrine in 1886. There is a pond in front of the church with a statue in the centre.
The church provides accommodation facilities for the pilgrims. Mass is held at 6:00 daily. Easter Flag Hoisting is the main celebration held at this church. Confession is held on every Saturday evening before the mass.
