Sri Veera Maruthi Temple




Sri Veera Maruthi Temple is devoted to Lord Hanuman. It is situated opposite to Sri Venkatramana Temple at Karkala in Udupi District. The temple is assumed to be nearly 400 years old and has a magnificent idol 15 ft tall. It was reconstructed in 1972. Ekadashi Bhajan programmes are grandly celebrated here. Other old temples in the close vicinity are Chaturmukha Basadi, Neminatha Basadi at Hiriangadi, Padmavati Temple and Anantapadmanabha Temple.

At Mangalore, about 53 km from Karkala is the nearest railway station and the airport.
