Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology (SSIT) was established by Sri Siddhartha Education Society in 1979. It is affiliated to
Visveswaraiah Technological University and approved by the Government of Karnataka. The Institute is located on the outskirts of
Tumkur, about 70 km from
Bangalore.
The institution conducts engineering courses in civil, mechanical, computer science and telecommunication engineering. Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and M Sc in mechanical engineering are also offered.
SSIT has fully functional laboratories, a library and an information centre. Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls.
