Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, located in
Chennai, was established in 1985 as part of the Sri Ramachandra Education and Health Trust.
Raised to the Deemed University status in 1994, this institute has nine constituent colleges with over 45 departments and offers about 75 courses. NRI/foreign students are admitted to all the courses offered under the institute. The research wing of the university pursues research in basic medical and clinical sciences.
