Sri Nettikanti Anjaneya Swami Temple




Sri Nettikanti Anjaneya Swami Temple is at Kasapuram in Anantapur District. Lord Hanuman is worshipped here as Nettikanti Anjaneya Swami. He is in the artha shela form facing the south, as if walking towards east.

The temple has 60 ft high Raja Gopuram and faces south. The three kalasas of the Raja Gopuram are gold-plated. Dwaram, the main entrance, is made of a wooden door and covered with silver plates engraved with designs. A holy tank called as Koneru lies on the west-north corner. Taking a holy dip in this tank cures many diseases.

Ugadi, the Telugu New Year, is celebrated here which falls in March/April. The Lord’s car festival is performed on the next day of Ugadi. During the festival of Ram Navami, the marriage ceremony of Sita Devi and Lord Ram is celebrated. Hanuman Jayanthi is celebrated during the Vaishaka month (April-May).

Darshan can be had from 06:00 to 12:00 hrs and from 15:30 to 20:00 hrs. On Saturdays, the temple is open from 04:30 to 21:00 hrs.
