Sri Mukhalingeswara Temple




Sri Mukhalingeswara Temple is located at Srimukhalingam in Srikakulam District. It was built in the 9th century by the Eastern Ganga Kings and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple has beautiful Indo-Aryan styled sculptures. It exists as a fine example of Kalinga style of architecture. It is believed that a dip in the Vamsadhara River and a visit to this temple would relieve one from the sequence of rebirth.

The nearest airport is at Visakhapatnam. Srikakulam is the major town nearby.
