Built in 1878, Sri Mahavir Digambara Jain temple is situated in the Dewans lane of Chickpet area in
Bangalore. The idol of bhagwan is found in the kayotsagra posture.
The temple also has the idols of Bhagwan Parshwanath, Bahubali, Vimalanath, Ananathanath and Brahma Yaksha. A dharamshala, Mahavir bhavan, ahimsa mandir, and a well equipped library containing the books on Jainism are situated here.
