Sri Devaki Krishna Ravalnath Temple

Sri Devaki Krishna Ravalnath Temple is situated at Karkala in Karnataka. This is one of the temples of the Gowda Saraswatha Brahmins in Karnataka. Separate temples with full size idols of Sri Swamy Ravalnath and stone idol of Devaki holding the baby Krishna can be seen here. The idols were carved by Renjal Gopal Krishna Shenoy. Swamy Ravalnath temple was consecrated in 1974 and the Devaki temple in 1981. Navratri festival, Shri Chandika Yajna and anniversaries are celebrated with great fervor. Oracle is organized every full moon day.

Mangalore Airport is the nearest from Karkala at a distance of 45 km. The closest railway station from Karkala is the Udupi Railway Station. Direct trains are available to Mumbai, Delhi, Rajkot and Ahmedabad from here. Express Bus Services by organized operators are available on regular intervals from Udupi, Mangalore, Bangalore and Mumbai to Karkala.
