Sri Chennakesava Swami Temple




Sri Chennakesava Swami Temple is located at Tallapaka in Cuddapah District. Tallapaka is the birth place of Saint Annamacharya, about 3 km from Cuddapah town. This beautiful temple is situated around 100 km from Tirupati, a holy city famous for the Venkateshwara Temple.

Legend says that the temple was built and managed by the Matti Rajas about 1000 years ago. A big festival called Brahmotsavam held here is a major draw. Annamacharya Jayanthi and Vardhanti Utsavams are the other famous festivals celebrated at the temple.

The shrines of Sri Kamakshi Sameta, Sri Siddeswara Swami and Sri Gopala Swami Sameta are its sub-temples.

Cuddapah Railway Station on the Chennai-Mumbai line is the nearest railhead, about 3 km away.
