Sri Audhikesava Perumal Peyalwar Devasthanam



Sri Audhikesava Perumal Peyalwar Temple, also called Sri Peyalwar Temple, is a 300-year-old temple located in Mylapore, Tamil Nadu. The presiding deity here is Sri Audhikesava Perumal enshrined in a standing posture. Sri Mayuravalli Thayar, his divine consort, is enshrined in a sitting posture on a lotus pedestal, in a separate sannidhi.

Sri Chakrath Alwar is also enshrined in a separate shrine. The name Chakra is derived from the Sudarsana Chakra - the divine disc of Lord Vishnu. Other deities worshipped here are Lord Ram, Lakshman, Bharat, Sita, Lord Hanuman and Andal.

Mylapore has good road and rail network with other parts of Tamil Nadu. The nearest airport is at Chennai.
