Sreepadam Ayurveda Chikitsalayam, a center for ayurvedic treatments, education and research, is located at Kanjoor in
Ernakulam District,
Kerala. The center provides traditional ayurvedic treatments in an exotic environment, in an unpolluted rural location. Treatment is offered for chronic ailments such as joint diseases, nervous problems, bone related diseases, blood disorders, skin problems, metabolic and degenerative diseases.
Abhyangam, dhara, pizhichil, elakizhi,
njavarakizhi and
udvarthanam are the main treatments. Yoga and meditation classes are also conducted.
The center also offers short term courses in ayurveda including theories of ayurveda, traditional ayurvedic treatments, and principles of pharmacology. The traditional Gurukul method is used for training.
