Sree Vishwambara Temple




Sree Vishwambara Temple is a famous shrine situated at Kottakkal in Malappuram District, Kerala. It is about 11 km from Malappuram. The presiding deity of the temple is Dhanwanthari, incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

The seven-day annual festival of the temple is held during March-April. The main attraction of this celebration is the Kottakkal Pooram.

Sree Vishwambara Temple can be approached from Kozhikode, Malappuram and Tirur by road. The nearest railhead is Tirur Railway Station (about 16 km).
