Here the main deity is called Evvulkidandhan (also known as Perumal and Vaidhya Veeraraghavar) and the goddess's name is Kanakavalli. The deity is in a sleeping posture. The devotees offer palli thuppatti (clothes) and small human figures in silver or gold to the Lord. There is a sacred pond and the devotees believe that bathing in this pond relieves one of all diseases. Brahmotsavam, Pavithra Utsavam, and Chithirai Brahmotsavam are the main festivals celebrated.
