Sree Sowdambika College of Engineering is a technical institution situated 5 km from Aruppukottai town on the Aruppukottai-Tuticorin highway. Managed by the Chockalingam Devangar Varthaga Sangam, the institute was established in 2000-2001. It offers courses in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology and Computer Science and Engineering. The college has impressive buildings of up to 8,178 sq m with standardized classrooms, separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, canteen and well equipped laboratories. An active placement cell is also functioning inside the college.
