Sree Chinakathoor Bhagavathy Temple is situated at
Palappuram in
Palakkad District of
Kerala. It is about 5 km from
Ottapalam and 16 km from
Shoranur.
The presiding deity is Goddess Bhagavati. Chinakathoor Pooram, the annual festival is usually held between February and March. The temple witnesses a heavy influx of devotees during the festival. Famous artists perform various art forms on this occasion. An impressive section of the festival is the ceremonial procession of 55 elephants.
The rail terminus close to the temple is Palappuram Railway Station, on Shoranur-Palakkad rail route.
