An annual classical dance festival, Soorya Dance Festival is held at Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. The renowned dancers from all over the country participate in this event. Kathak, Odissi, Manipuri, Bharatanatyam, Kathakali and Mohiniyattam are among the dances performed on this occasion. This festival is conducted in October, and it lasts for ten days.
