Sonori

Sonori village is situated 30 km south-west of Pune, on the foothills of Malhargad Fort. It is the native town of Bhivrao Panse (a general who managed the armory of the Maratha forces). There is a huge 'wada' (ancestral home) of the Panse family with six towers and a tiered peripheral wall 5 m high. The place is famous for temples.
