Someshwara Temple at Dharwad




Built in 12th century by Chalukyas, Someshwara Temple is one of the notable landmarks in Dharwad. It houses statues of Mahishasuramardini and Chaturbhuja Ganesh {Ganesh/Ganapathi represented with four hands). The surroundings abound in natural beauty. The river Shalmala originates near by the temple but she flows under ground.
