Someshwar Beach




Someshwar Beach, blessed with an endless stretch of golden sand and graciously swaying palm trees, is located 9 km south of Mangalore. The beach is well known for a large rock called 'rudra shila'. The historical Sri Someshwara Temple, believed to be constructed during the reign of the famous queen Abbakka Devi, and ruins of a fort and a palace are nearby. The beach offers breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea and is an ideal spot for nature lovers and swimmers.
