Sola Topee

Situated next to China Club at the Global Business Park in Gurgaon, Sola Topee is a 43-cover eatery, specializing in Anglo-Indian cuisine. The entire restaurant is designed like a tent with colonial-style furniture, oil-wick candle-stands, gramaphones, binoculars, hat stands and quaint sideboards, photos of the British era and original sola topees (the pith helmet worn by British to keep out the sun). Sola Topee has a sepia-tinted scrapbook styled menu. It serves Lady Curzon's Mulligatawny soup, lamb kebabs, Viceroy's tawa prawn, cutlets, a palm-sized crumb, chocolate cake, custard and sponge pudding, shahi tukra, rasmalai, gulab jamum and kulfi falooda. There is also an extensive spread for vegetarians.
