Smriti Soudha, established in 1986, is a four storied building situated at Nimtouri in
Tamluk of
Midnapore District. It is a museum which lies on the way to
Haldia from Mechada. The Soudha houses a wide collection of photographs, paintings and statues of the freedom movement era. One can also find here a huge library containing rare books.
Regular buses ply between Tamluk and Howrah. One can also reach here by local train from Howrah to Mechada and then take a bus.
