Sivanmalai Hill Temple is located 50 km from
Erode and 5 km from
Kangeyam. The temple can be accessed by climbing a flight of 200 steps. The main shrine of the temple is dedicated to
Lord Muruga and his consort Valli. It is believed that Lord Muruga married Valli against the wishes of her kinsmen. The main festival celebrated here is
Karthikai Deepam. Other festivals are Thai Poosam, Aadi Krithikai and Pankuni Uthiram.
