Siva Temple at Thirumayam

Rock cut cave temple

Built by Mahendravarman, the rock cut cave temple at Thirumayam is dedicated to Sathyagireeswarar (Siva). There is another rock-cut shrine for Vishnu adjacent to the Siva temple. Inscriptions are found inside the temple.
