Sitab Diara is located in Saran District and lies near the district’s border with Utter Pradesh. It is around 15 km west of Chhapra. Sitab Diara is also spelled Shitab Diara.

Revelganj, 6 km to the east, is a town nearby. Sitab Diara is famous as the birth place of Jayaprakash Narayan.
