Sita Sar is an ancient tank spread over 26 acres of land. This tank is situated at
Sunam in
Sangrur District of
Punjab.
It is believed that Sita, wife of Lord Ram, is said to have washed her hair in this tank when she was turned out of kingdom by Ram. Folklore also adds that once this tank was filled with the water of Saraswati River.
Shiva temples and Shitla Mata temple is found in the vicinity. At present the tank is in a dilapidated condition.
