Sissu

Sissu is a charming village in Lahaul and Spiti District and lies on the banks of Chandra River. It is about 30 km south of Keylong on the Keylong-Koksar road.

Perched at altitude of 3,120 m, it is considered as the seat of God Geypan, the main deity of Lahaul. The temple of Lord Geypan lies in this village and the image of the lord is carried out in a procession through the streets of the village once in two years. The migratory Siberian ducks are spotted here during autumn and winter. The enchanting surroundings, stunning lake, and beautiful waterfalls make it an excellent picnic spot.
