Sirigere

Sirigere is a forest village situated inside the Shettihalli Wildlife Sanctuary in the Western Ghats and is 28 km from Shimoga. The village is a pilgrim center and the main attraction here is a temple situated in the midst of the lush green forest. There is a spring in the temple premises, which is believed to have originated when Arjuna struck his arrow into the ground to give water to his mother Kunti during their exile.
