Singhori Wildlife Sanctuary




Singhori Wildlife Sanctuary, established in 1976, is situated in Raisen District, Madhya Pradesh. Spread over an area of 288 sq km, it is a natural habitat for a variety of flora and fauna.

Major animal species found here include tiger, leopard, four-horned antelope, wild boar, barking deer and chital. It is also home to a variety of birds including herons, egrets and spoonbills. Large number of migratory birds arrives here during seasons.

The best time to visit the sanctuary is from November to February.

The nearest airport is at Bhopal. Bhopal Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead. The sanctuary can be reached from the Bhopal Bus Station.
