Simlapal




Simlapal is a taluk headquarters town of Bankura District in West Bengal. It is located near the banks of the Silai, one of the streams of the River Rupanarayan. Panchmura, famous for the terracotta Bankura Horse, is 10 km north-east. The other important towns connected with Simlapal are Lakshmisagar, Taldangra, Humgarh and Sarenga.

Ambikanagar, an ancient center of Jain culture, and Eco-Park are the interesting spots close to the town.

The nearest airport is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport. Bankura Railway Station and Ondagram Railway Station are the nearest railheads.
