Simhanath Temple




Simhanath Temple is an ancient shrine, located at Simhanath Island, about 10 km from Badamba, in Cuttack District of Orissa. Dating back to the ninth century, the temple enshrines the idols of Shaiva, Shakta and Vaishnava cults of Hinduism. Simhanath Temple is noted for its architectural splendor. Its Jagmohana (porch) takes after that of Vaital Deul Temple, Bhubaneswar.
