Silghat is a picturesque town located on the southern banks of the mighty Brahmaputra, in Nagaon District, Assam. This small settlement, dotted with numerous ancient temples, is 48 km north-west of Nagaon.

The nearest airport is at Saloni, 10 km from Tezpur. Jakhalabandha Railway Station is the nearby railhead. National Highway 52 passes through the town.
