Sikkal is situated about 10 km south-west of Nagapattinam, in the Nagapattinam District of Tamil Nadu, on the Thanjavur-Nagapattinam railway line. This place is one of the sivastalams in India. A temple dedicated to Sikkal Singaravelar (Lord Muruga) is situated here. The ideal time to visit the place is October-November, during the 10 day festival celebration. A Thyagaraja Shrine is also situated here. Keevalur is located near Sikkal.
