Sibi




Sibi is a small village on the Bangalore - Pune Highway. Located 20 km north of Tumkur of Karnataka, Sibi is also popularly known as Sibishetra or Seebi. This village was previously a jungle, where it is believed saints meditated. The 500 year old Narasimha Swamy temple is the only remarkable thing in this place. The mural paintings of this temple are remarkable. The exquisite mural paintings depict scenes from the great epics like Ramayana, Mahabharata, Shiva Purana, and Bhagavata.
