Shri Varahalakshminarasimha Swamy Alayam




Shri Varahalakshminarasimha Swamy Alayam is a beautiful hill temple which lies 12 km from Kandukur in Nellore District. The chief deity of this temple, Varahanarasimhaswamy, combines the characteristics of Lord Varaha and Narasimha. Placed on a picturesque hillock 200 ft in height, the main deity of this temple is popularly known as Thatayaa. Sacred ponds Bhavanasi and Rajaswalibugga flow through nearby. Devotees believe that they can redeem themselves of all their sins by bathing here. This place is believed to have been visited by Lord Ram and Narada. Brahmotsavam is the major festival celebrated with much merriment. Chennai International Airport is the nearest airport.
