Shri Siddeshwar Temple




Shri Siddeshwar Temple is one of the main shrines in Solapur, Maharashtra. It is situated amid numerous trees and a garden and is surrounded by a lake from all sides. Dedicated to Shri Siddeshwar, the founder of Solapur, it is built where Lord Shri Siddeshwara used to sit for meditation. The idol of the temple is kept on the sitting stone.

Shri Siddeshwar Temple conducts a four-day fair at the time of Makar Sankranti every year. The procession of the Nandi Dawdj' Kathya is another noted event which lasts nearly a month.

Solapur Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
