Shri Ramtek Teerth




Shri Ramtek Teerth is a highly revered Jain shrine situated at Ramtek, in Nagpur District, Maharashtra. The temple enshrines a four-meter high, golden colored idol of Bhagvan Shantinath in the Kayotsarya posture.

It is believed that the temple belongs to the period of Bhagvan Munisuvrat, the 20th Tirthankar. The temple is referred as Vanshagiri in the Padmapuran written by Acharya Raviseno.

There are eight temples situated around this temple.

Ramtek Railway Station, on the South Central Railways, is the nearest railhead (5 km).
