Shri Madhurakavi Alwar, one of the twelve
Alwars, was born in Thirukkolur,
Tamil Nadu. He is regarded as the amsa (incarnation) of
Lord Vishnu's vehicle,
Garuda.
Madhurakavi Alwar's work 'Kanninun Chirutthaambu' is dedicated to his Guru, Shri Namm Alwar, whom he considered as the Lord Himself.
