Shri Laxmi Venkatramana Temple




Established by the Sowcar Bhat Family in the 17th century, Shri Laxmi Venkatramana Temple is located at Car Street in Uppinangady, 52 km from Mangalore. The temple complex also houses the idols of Lord Ugra Narasimha, Shri Mahaganapati, Mahalakshmi, Nagadevatha, Veer Anjaneya, Kshetra Pala and Bhairava. The popular festivals celebrated in the temple are the Car Festival and the foundation day. The temple also provides scholarships to the deserving students of Gowda Saraswat Brahmin community.

Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala, Temple of Lord Bahubali and Shri Kukke Subramanya are the nearby places of importance. Puttur railway station is the nearest railhead.
