Shri Kul Bhushan-Desh Bhushan Mandir




Shri Kul Bhushan-Desh Bhushan Mandir, popularly known as Bara Mandir, is a highly revered Jain shrine located on Kunthal Giri, a sacred hill which lies at a distance of 50 km from Osmanabad. This temple, with an artistic sky-high spire, is famous for its architectural excellence. The 3 ft high idol of Shri Kul Bhushan-Desh Bhushan is the major draw of this temple. This idol is made of white stone and is in standing posture. Apart from this, the temple has idols of Lord Shantinath ji, Munisuvratnath ji, Adinath and Charitra Chakravarti Acharya Shantisagarj. Devotees can also visit numerous temples nearby including the famous Shri Kunthaigiri Sidh Teerth. Accommodation facilities are available. The nearest airport is at Aurangabad.
