Sri Kalikamma Alayam is a highly valued shrine located in the beautiful village of Kuppam in Chittoor District. This is one of the Shakti temples noted for its sculptural adornments and size.
Main attraction is the idol of the chief deity, Mother Balipriya, which faces north in sitting posture. On certain days in a year, animal sacrifices are held here. The temple has separate Garbhagriha and mini shrines. Daily pujas are arranged. During the annual festival, thousands from every nook and corner throng here.
The nearest airport is at Tirupati.
