Shri Ganesh Ji Mandir




Shri Ganesh Ji Mandir at Jaipur is very famous and visited by people both from within and outside Jaipur. It is situated 6 km from the city. This temple is believed to have been built by Seth Jai Ram Paliwal, in 1761. The temple belongs to the Shaiva sect. The Gauriya Vaishnava tradition of worship is practiced here. The ancestors of the priests are known to have come from Bengal.

Lord Ganesh is seen in the sitting posture in this temple. Vermillion paste is applied from time to time on the idol. Seven darshanas a day are given to the public. Keertans and Bhajans accompany every adorned appearance of the lord. Ganesh Chaturthi, Janamashthami, Radhashtami, Annakuta are observed with great festivity.

People have great faith in Ganesh Ji. He is invited first to all auspicious occasions as he is believed to be the remover of impediments.

The Sanganer Airport links Jaipur with major cities. The nearest railway station is at Gandhi Nagar, Jaipur (6 km.) Jaipur Central Bus Station has frequent buses plying to other cities.
