Shri Ganapati Devasthan is an ancient temple dedicated to
Lord Ganapati. Located on the banks of the River
Krishna in
Sangli District, the temple houses a beautiful idol of Lord Ganesh. Devotees believe that this idol is self-manifested (
swayambhu). According to tradition, this idol was consecrated by Thorle (elder) Chintamanrao Patwardhan in 1843.
